Dental problems hurt. Most people visit the dentist every six months without fail because they have experienced toothache and they do not want it to happen again.

Pets have teeth too!

Oral disease - most importantly periodontal or gum disease caused by the build up of plaque and tartar - has become the number-one health problem for many pets. It's estimated that 70% of cats and 80% of dogs will show signs of oral disease by age three if they do not have proper dental care.

If the problem is not treated this can result in
      • Significant pain.
      • Tooth loss
      • Septicemia
(blood borne infection) which in turn can lead to heart failure through endocarditis, liver abscesses and kidney failure.Does your pet have periodontal disease?
Look out for

• Bad breath
• Red gums
• Discoloured teeth

Dogs and Cats do not always exhibit signs of pain however loss of appetite, difficulty chewing or favouring one side should always be investigated.
